CERTIFICATION PROCESS
Step 1 - ENQUIRY
Information on certification is made available upon enquiry. A quotation shall be issued to customer based on information provided by the customer.
Step 2 - APPLICATION
Application shall be submitted by using standard application form.
Step 3 - DOCUMENT REVIEW
Quality Management System, Product Standard / Specification & design shall be reviewed.
Step 4 - FACTORY/PLANT ASSESSMENT
Testing of the products and assessment of the quality management system involved. (Scheme Type5)
Product Testing shall be conducted.
Production Process & Quality Control shall be assessed.
Product conformity assessment & factory assessment shall be performed.
Step 5 - ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE
Certificate Declaration shall be signed before Issuance of Certificate. Certification Paper shall be submitted for Decision on Certification.
Step 6 - SURVEILLANCE AUDIT (6 Monthly)
Note: RECERTIFICATION AUDIT (3-yearly)
Surveillance of the quality management system is conducted and samples of the product may be taken from the market or the point of production, or both, and are assessed for ongoing conformity. (Scheme Type 5)
Factory/Plant inspection and testing shall be conducted to monitor continuing compliance.
Step 7 - RENEWAL /EXTENSION OR REDUCTION OF SCOPE
Subject to satisfactory inspection and testing report and payment of certification fees, renewal of certificate shall be granted.
Subject to application by the certificate holder and after verification by MyQAS, extension/reduction of scope shall be tabled to MyQAS Product Certification Committee for decision.
